Course Description: Students in this course will learn a variety of techniques for understanding and managing their roles, including the learning and implementing of spiritually mature practices, alongside practical components of community and religious service.  Scholarship, service, and support are the key components that form the foundation from which this comprehensive course will introduce and explore the various psychological and spiritual elements of helping different audiences in varying walks of life.


Recordings: Live attendance is recommended whenever possible for the best learning experience. Recordings of the sessions will be made available for registered students who cannot attend live.

Prerequisites:

  1. Students should be women above the age of 17.
  2. Successful completion of at least one Ribaat Level 1 Core course.
  3. EDU 101: Teaching Skills & Methodology

Course Requirements: Students are expected to attend the online lectures, complete and present a book review, prepare practicum write-up and submit a final exam.

This is an online course so students will need:

  • Access to internet with an internet speed of at least 2 Mbps recommended for best performance. 
  • Headphones, camera and microphone may be required for in-class participation. 
  • To access the live class and recordings, students will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.

Registration Fee: Non-refundable, non-transferable

Students will have access to course forums, recordings, and files until January 10th, 2023.

  •  $150.00 (not including the cost of the course materials)
  •  $20.00 late registration fee after September 9th (if seats are available)
  •  Additional $5.00 auditing fee.

Text: A book list will be provided through the course forum. Each student will choose 1 book from the list.

Students are responsible for ordering their textbooks before the start of class. Ribaat textbooks are available to enrolled students at a discounted rate through Daybreak Press Global Bookshop. Once enrolled, students will have access to the discount code through the course forum.
