Daylight savings time will end in the United States on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Depending on where you live, this may or may not affect your class timing. In countries where DST is not applied at all, class will be one hour later starting November 6.


Course Description: 

This is the second module of the Intermediate Beginner band. In this level, students will build on their knowledge of nominal sentences by learning how to negate them and situate them in the past tense. They will also learn how to express possession and how to identify and construct dual and plural nouns. They will expand their vocabulary by learning to talk about careers, food and drink, and the human body.

  • Using كان  and ليس  to modify nominal sentences 
  • Expressing possession (إضافة )
  • Duals and Plurals 
  • Reversed predicated 
  • Food and drink 
  • Discussing careers 
  • The human body 


Recordings: Live attendance is recommended whenever possible for the best learning experience. Recordings of the sessions will be made available for registered students who cannot attend live.


Prerequisites: 

  1. Students should be women above the age of 17.
  2. Learners will need to demonstrate knowledge of the content covered at the Novice level by taking a placement test. This includes the ability to read and write the Arabic script, conjugate simple verbs in the past and present tense, and construct nominal sentences.

    Course Requirements:Students are expected to attend 2 online classes each week, complete 3 weekly assignments, and submit a final exam.


    This is an online course so students will need:

    • Access to internet with an internet speed of at least 2 Mbps recommended for best performance. 
    • Headphones, camera and microphone may be required for in-class participation. 
    • To access the live class and recordings, students will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.
